Is this the same concept AE employed some years ago whereby the uppers are cut and sewn offshore then imported to be lasted and welted here stateside?

Probably not; I think it's just sloppy/clueless writing. Doesn't yield a whole lot of confidence when contemplating purchasing something so expensive...

You could always call them and experience an unrivaled level of service, both haughty and unknowledgeable, in my experience (admittedly outdated, as I kicked the Brooks habit decades ago but well into their journey into the world of weird fashion, riffing on classics with pointless changes, garish colors and patterns, and fillips executed in other realms had begun).

The service now is unknowledgeable but not haughty. It’s essentially the same as you would get at Macy’s. My info is also dated. Our mall BB (formerly large and with great staff but downsized to a small space with all former staff leaving) closed a year ago or more.

But I am glad for Rancourt. I love their stuff.
