I have the Khyber Cloth Khakis from Ben Silver in the Summer weight and the Fall weight. They are very nicely constructed and look great. They feel good and wear nice, I think you get what you pay for. Also consider a few of Ben Silver's Classic Regimental Stripe ties and their Navy Blazer to top your Khakis off with and finish with the Argyle socks and Alden's Cordovan Loafers for a look that cannot be beat. Ben Silver is not for all Trad's as their price points are a bit high but their goods are worth saving and working a little more to achieve.

I have these Hertling made Khakis from Press

Perhaps they are dressier than the BenSilver as they are Dry Clean Only, but shouldn't be so different in price in about a month.

They are cut closer across the hip than Bills and dont have the big Bills pockets. They are not so tight across the hip as Berle. Rise seems about the same as Berle. I have already had them tapered to my satisfaction so I cannot comment on the leg room. Fabric seems a bit finer than Bills Chamois cloth.

Anyone seen these or any Hertling made khakis? They have short, regular, and long rise. At $125 they're no bargain but perhaps they're worth it if perfect. BS says they're made of 'khyber' cloth - perhaps just the thing for an armchair British-colonial adventurer.

These BS trousers look to me to be competing head to head with Bills. Just curious -- do you have any Bills, and, if so, do you have particular dissatisfactions with them?

^that was kind of what I was thinking too. I do have Bills (and others) and am ok with the construction, though the fit of the M2s could be a bit better. I'm not sure they're worth the $$ but I still buy them, particularly the British khaki color. I recall when Bills first came out you could buy them unwashed and the fabric was stouter and tighter - if they were like that today youd have a sure winner.
