Been a struggle for a while to find something that works well, and can't find a thread that addresses it. So here's one for guys with my body type.

Currently looking for some chinos and wool dress pants, but any thoughts here would be great.

Heard someone suggest J. Crew 770. I ordered a pair, and will report back when they get in. Anyone else dealt with this, and have you found any brands that have worked well for you?

You would do better with a more traditional cut. Berle cuts this way, and many here value them.

In fact, that's exactly what some retailers do with their MTO programs.

BB Madison fit. And perhaps sizing that up and taking in an inch. I've found Orvis cords and chinos to be generously cut. (more generous than BB Madison)

For chinos/khakis, try Bill's Khakis in the M1 fit.

Those jcrew 770 chinos are great. I also really love Target's new chinos in the athletic fit. Nice slim and tapered leg with lots of room up top and like $20 a pair. I've already gotten a few colors and am really happy with them.
