Braces - is this style OK for day-time wear?

Hello, I'm new to this forum. Here's a question for the guys who should know! - first and foremost our host Andy Gilchrist, followed by manton, medwards and Film Noir Buff, not to mention Anthony Jordan, Lucky etc...

I am asking around, without much success, about whether or not I am committing a sartorial sin by wearing barathea braces with the braid-ends on my day-time suits? I believe they are usually seen with evening-wear, but I particularly like them for their more refined and elegant appearance with a formal day-time suit, although I also have a number of handsome braces with the leather-ends that I wear. Any thoughts?
