I saw the great Bogart in "The Big Sleep" this weekend on TCM.
Great clothes. However, I have one nagging question: why does Bogart have the lapel buttonhole on the opposite lapel?
This is the only time that I saw the buttonhole on the right side rather than the traditional, left side.
Does anyone have any insight as to why? Is this one of the character's costume traits from the novel.
