Alright, so I've seen a lot of comments about which boat shoes to purchase and many opinions on the matter.
Here's the deal: at prep school, and at the yacht clubs I've seen, Sperrys are the way to go. No Sebagos, no high-end recreations, just the good ol' Sperry Topsiders Authentic Originals. Personally, I like to wear mine to the soles are falling off and the stitching is coming apart...
And for those who want slightly nicer ones with more attention to detail, you can go for the Topsider Gold Cup edition. Either way, only Sperry.
I own the blue and white pair, as well as a couple of regular brown ones. Nothing like them - great grip with the razor thin traction, and a non-marking sole. Of course, no socks...
