Hi guys,
I'm new to the forum. I recently put some gold buttons on a navy suit jacket (the assocated trousers of which have become a tad snug...) and I have since noticed that many navy blazers have 3 not 4 sleeve buttons. Is the number of buttons on a blazer/sport coat a distinguishing feature (in the way gold buttons are as well)?
And on a related note: am I the only person here who feels the unbuttoned last sleeve button is a bit gauche? I own three suits, all MTM with working buttonholes. I think a custom or MTM suit should identify itself by the way it fits, not by some silly signal.
