My pal Andy runs a site called PrimerMagazine.com.

He has this really good article that covers Primer's top 12 favorite stores where guys can buy clothing on a budget.

Here's the article:
https://www.primermagazine.com/2018...fordable-mens-fashion-for-the-guy-on-a-budget

Thought it would be great to discuss the topic here, and see where our members mostly shop for inexpensive, but decent quality clothing.

My list includes:
  1. Macys
  2. Target
  3. Asos
  4. DSW (shoes)
  5. Aliexpress
What are your top 5-10 (or more) budget friendly men's clothing stores?

Mine isn't quite as budget friendly as those listed in the OP, but following the quote "Menswear brands to trust when you don’t have time or money to waste", I have these:

Peter Christian
Spier & Mackay

Are most of my wardrobe now, and I'd describe them as some of the best values in menswear, if not necessarily budget friendly to everyone.

I don't have 3 others that haven't been mentioned on the list.

For shirts, ties and pocket squares, hands down Kamakura.
I've never owned a Kamakura shirt, but the Spier OCBDs I've owned are apparently heavily based off of them, mainly the collar roll.

The price of a Kamakura OTR shirt is also the same as a high end fabric MTM from S&M.

I've even adjusted the collar spread and point length on a button down.

^Target used to be a good resource for things like khakis, polos, underwear and such, but I think they have cheapened their quality considerably to maintain the low price points. The same is even more true of Costco. They used to offer some very decent clothing at very attractive prices, but I haven't seen anything there to which I'd give house room in years.

Although they don't get much love here, I'd put in a good word for JAB for dressier clothing...at least if you play the sales right. I haven't been in a Men's Wearhouse in years, so can't comment on how they are currently. Of course, MW and JAB are under the same ownership.

Some of the mail-order options like Lands' End or Charles Tyrwhitt may be good options for the guy on a budget as well.

If a man knows his size and can wait for the proper sale, I'd say CT is an excellent value option.

I like the way you think. JAB usually has a good selection on clearance (the big shoulders don't fit me well, unfortunately).

I mostly buy Lands End button down shirts these days. They just fit me well, they are nicely tailored. Good stitching, relatively thick cloth, Etc. I wish they had a better selection, though. Free returns if you have a Sears nearby.
