I've realized that I feel most comfortable in a suit, and so despite my office's business-casual-and-up policy, I think I'd like to invest in about 3 suits to wear on a regular basis. I'm looking for advice as to how best to spend my money:
In the $1000 price range, is it best to buy off the rack? Pay a tailor to copy an existing suit? (I have a Joseph Abboud that fits me almost perfectly)? Do a M2M thing somewhere?
And given whatever you think the best option of those above is, please answer the obvious follow up: Where to buy such a suit. (i.e. better to buy off the rack at Barneys?, Go straight to a Zegna store and buy from them? Some boutique? (Seize Sur Vingt, Linus?). Wait until a specific sale?
