Quite a clever marketing initiative. Clearly designed to get people accustomed to RTW to migrate to CMT and bespoke, and persuading current CMT and bespoke consumers to choose Scabal fabrics in their subsequent orders. The hardcopy is only available by request, and one needs to request it each time a new issue comes out (they announce via email that a new edition is available). I suppose that this process ensures that each copy is distributed to those that are actually interested in reading it. 50k copies per edition, IIRC.

Not that I would recommend their CMT suits to anyone (not good in so many ways...), but the articles on new fabrics are interesting if sometimes a bit over the top. As far as loo reading material goes, it's really not bad. :icon_smile_big:

Thank you for this. Quite a few of my suits and jackets made by my CMT were made from Scabal fabrics that he obtained. I was well pleased with them, though my tailor didn't seem thrilled to deal with them, and thought some lesser know mercers, such as Wain Shiell offered better value.

Scabal actually ownes Wain Shiell and soon will be converting all the swatch books from Wain Shiell covers to Scabal ones.

Thanks for the update, my experience is about 12 years old. Such is the way of the world.
