Hello,

I'm new to posting in this forum but have learned a lot from reading the other posts and have definitely decided that my next suit will be a bespoke one. I'm tall and I'm fed up with off the peg suits that don't fit well and don't last very long.

However, where do I start?! I live in Sydney but am originally from England and I travel back to the UK about twice a year.

I initially thought I might get a suit made in Asia (flights to London go via Bangkok, Singapore or Hong Kong), stopping off on the way there for a few days and then a couple of weeks later stopping off again on the way back for final fittings etc. From a bit of research on the internet and on this site it seems that there are lots of traps to fall into when using tailors in Asia and the better ones aren't that much cheaper than Saville Row anyway.

So, plan B. Has anyone had any experience of JH Cutler who is based in Sydney?

Failing that, plan C is to do it all in London but it would be a bit frustrating as it would have to be over about 6-8 months as I couldn't be there for long enough in one go!

Any thoughts, comments, suggestions greatly appreciated!
