I'm in need of a couple new belts and need help narrowing it down. Would anyone be able to recommend a few (3-4) belts from Beltmaster (currently have 25% off sale) that would cover a majority of my belt needs? I would really appreciate it!

A few thoughts and a question. First, although those appear to be nice belts, this is the Trad forum, a bastion of hidebound thoughts on such subjects. For example, I love surcingle belts, but I didn't see any on Beltmaster. You might get greater breadth of feedback on Fashion. I think in some ways I'm representative of the Trad approach, and aside from collecting a few different colors of surcingle, my belt needs are very few, a dressy black belt for somber occasions and a brown belt for wear with grey suits. Back when I was working I also loved gator belts. They wear like iron and last really well. So, the question is: what are your belt needs?

Have you considered Aventail's Bespoke Holeless Belts. They are a new advertiser on this site and they do have a rather novel approach to secure one's belt about the waist! From my perspective, they are well worth a look.

Having perused Beltmaster’s offerings I’d say that a black 1 1/8” with feathered edges, a light brown or tan of the same width but with stitched edges, and a dark brown of the same width with either edges will cover a multitude of outfits. Select the metal to match what metal you chiefly wear. For a casual look some of Beltmaster’s black belts, blunt rather than feathered or stitched edges, and more ornate silver toned buckles and keepers would be good. If you have any Trad leanings I’d go elsewhere, like O’Connell’s or Bahle’s, and get a surcingle belt. Olive is a very versatile first color.
