Welcome back! I assume that your time off was spent cleaning your shoes :)
Sigh,
I haven't worn real shoes since March 3rd. Except for my Top Siders.

I haven't worn real clothes either. I have no place to go, and outside of work, no one to see with the exception of a couple of like minded doctor friends who will sit on opposite ends of the pool occasionally for a few hours.

My life is spent in scrubs every day, at work or at home. They can easily be placed thru a hot wash without concern for damage. My "shoes" are a machine washable rubber and nylon monstrosity that is washer safe.

Thank God there's no one to see me except patients and coworkers who understand the change.

My shoes have been protected in their bags and boxes, but my boots are still on the shelves at the ready. Unbelievable that it was boot season when COVID arrived, and here we are back in the season again. I resent losing the opportunity to break out the tweed. But truth be told, I've gained the COVID 10 so I'll have to make a concerted effort next Spring to trim back down if I want to wear anything. Damn Scrubs, you can gain 20 lbs and still fit into them.😢

Is this the replacement for the AskAndy Fashion Forum?
Welcome back!

We have made several changes here on the site this year, including renaming some of our boards/forums.

Fashion Forum became > Timeless Style
Trad Forum became > Trad Style

Here's a link to a thread where we are discussing many of the initiatives we are working on to build a better Ask Andy About Clothes community & site experience.

Oh, and if you're looking for a good reason to break out some of those clothes, shoes, or boots you haven't worn for a while, here's an idea for you.

If you're comfortable in front of a camera, and so inclined, maybe you can break out some of the above items, and share your favorite style tip, style hack, or some other related helpful piece of advice :)

More info about that here:

My friend, you are at the tip of the spear in our war against this confounded pandemic. You and other medical professionals have put yourselves at great risk and made great personal sacrifices to get us through this challenge. Thank you for your service and the associated sacrifices you have made! Stay well. ;)

^^^ What he said.

While I similarly bemoan the near complete elimination of sartorial standards, I am able to do my job mostly from the comfort and safety of home - so I have comparatively nothing to complain about. Thank you for doing all that you do.

So glad to hear from you, I was getting pretty worried. I've put on the COVID 20, not 10 and add a little more from stress-eating too. As my company is considered essential we're all going in every day and 20% are out at any given time with quarantining or COVID itself. The wife is working from home and we don't go anywhere but we can't say the same for her relatives, who all don't believe there's any real threat and that it'll go away after the election.

How is the rest of your household doing?

Welcome back momsdoc and like others have expressed, I sincerely appreciate you and all your colleagues in the medical field who have stood on the wall to fight this pandemic. You will all go down as the heroes of this time.
