Sigh,
I haven't worn real shoes since March 3rd. Except for my Top Siders.
I haven't worn real clothes either. I have no place to go, and outside of work, no one to see with the exception of a couple of like minded doctor friends who will sit on opposite ends of the pool occasionally for a few hours.
My life is spent in scrubs every day, at work or at home. They can easily be placed thru a hot wash without concern for damage. My "shoes" are a machine washable rubber and nylon monstrosity that is washer safe.
Thank God there's no one to see me except patients and coworkers who understand the change.
My shoes have been protected in their bags and boxes, but my boots are still on the shelves at the ready. Unbelievable that it was boot season when COVID arrived, and here we are back in the season again. I resent losing the opportunity to break out the tweed. But truth be told, I've gained the COVID 10 so I'll have to make a concerted effort next Spring to trim back down if I want to wear anything. Damn Scrubs, you can gain 20 lbs and still fit into them.😢
