Pardon if someone posted this before. I just got back from my trip to the UK, and there was a great film playing on the plane about the tailors on Savile Row. I saw someone posted links to download it on style forum so I'll post them here, it's worth watching if you are interested.

BBC Docu on Savile Row.
Available for download as a Zip File. These are mpeg4 videos

Thank you!!

What a timely post! Many thanks for this.

I was just about to mail a cheque for £30 + VAT + postage to Bellweather Media to get a set of 3 DVDs!!

I just downloaded them last night and burned them on DVDs for weekend viewing.

Danny,

Thanks to a fellow patron of Elio. I've been watching these at work. Much more fun than writing documents about some a-hole's web presence.

Thanks!

Thanks, for posting. Watched them all last night. This was enjoyable. I remember something about people in the US not being able to see this the first time around.

Any favorite scenes in this for anyone? I thought it was worth it just to see the expression on Angus's face while talking to the Fashionista bloger.
Anymore news on the state of Harris Tweed?

Favorite scenes

I just saw the series for the first time. What struck me was that the shop owners, tailors and other insiders seemed always to wear their suitcoats when meeting the public, dealing with clients., etc., and then usually did any actual work, such as cutting and sewing, in shirtsleeves. In academia, I was able to wear a lab coat over shined shoes, pressed pants, shirt and tie to convey the professional image I wanted without having to try to work at a desk, lab table or anywhere else requiring free upper body movement while wearing a traditionally constructed suit jacket or sports coat.
