I just received notice that Brooks Brothers is about to have another Friends and Family sale featuring 25% off. I seem to see this question asked before, but can the Andy's corporate discount of 15% be stacked on this offer as well?

They seem to have a lot of Country Club "Luxury" Gabardines on clearance. Has anyone seen these in the flesh. How do they compare to the regular gabs? THX

No. They don't allow stacking but I have heard of some people able to get both discounts. I've tried at different stores to no avail.

I'm pretty sure stacking won't work in the store...I have had it work online, but it's kinda random. I think the main problem is that you cannot enter 2 codes...you can only enter the sale code OR the corporate code. I think if an item is marked down such that you don't need to enter a sale code, then you can enter the corporate code and get a stacked discount.

My BB salesperson similarly mentioned the sale several weeks ago and ensured to bring in the fall cords in my size for me to check out, as well as the new embroidered chinos and all of this season's argyle socks. I received polite phone calls as the goodies came in, I picked what I liked, and she has kept them on hold for next week. Top-notch service and just the way things ought to be.

This is my experience too. General rule is no stacking on sale items. However, if an item is a Limited Time Value, you can stack. For example, if the OCBDs -- normally a "Brooks Buy" at 3 for $199-- are designated a LTV at 3 for $159 during this sale period, you will be able to stack. So, you can stock up on these shirts at 3 for $135 when they get the LTV tag.

I've checked older threads for experience with BB flannels, and while they haven't gotten rave reviews, the overall opinion seems to be that they are pretty good. Anyone care to comment? I have a couple of $20 BB rewards cards which, coupled with 25% off, would get a pair for $146. I like the heavier of the 2 models of flannel trou Press offers, but their next sale usually doesn't happen until November.

I am considering adding this BB sack to my 'fleet' of navy blazers and was wondering if the upcoming 25% F&F sale is the best time to purchase or are there better sales coming up (i.e. end of year and/or season).

Cheers.
25% is a pretty good sale. They only time you might see a better deal is if they put that on clearance or POSSIBLY the December 26th one day sale. Some things are discounted 40% on that day I believe [am I wrong?]

Same here.

My salesperson called a few weeks ago to let me know about the sale, and I provided a wish list. Items have arrived in my size and are on hold until it's convenient for me to go pick them up. Terrific service!

I bought a couple pairs of brooks flannel pants last year from the factory store and am glad I did. One pair is from the 346 line, and the other was an overstock from the real store.

The 346 pair was noticably lower quality, but still better than department store pants. The pair from regular brooks bros is a great pair of pants. They've held up well and look sharp. Better than a pair of Hiltl flannels I looked at later on.

I believe that it's 25% and another 15% in the morning in the store, but the extra 15% may start on 12/25 online.

Thanks Danny. I found the catalog from last Christmas and the jacket was 25% off then, so I guess that's the best discount (which isn't bad).

Cheers.

Well the Christmas sale may be different than the Dec 26 sale. I believe that is the biggest sale they have all year. Sounds like 40% in the morning. Not bad. I got my Alden LHS's last year at that sale.
