I have found a second hand Barbour, Made in England, New Hampshire waxed jacket. It was a little large, but I bought it because, it was in pretty darn good shape, and two I bought it for $25.
I have two questions.
1. Have you ever heard of a Barbour New Hampshire?
2. It is a wax jacket. Have any of you sent a jacket to Barbour for re-proofing? I have another jacket I re-waxed myself, and was an "all day" event. Is it worth the money to have it done professionally? ( In other words, will I be happy with the finished product?)

Barbour has many different models. I've not heard of this one but again my knowledge of the full range from Barbour is far from complete. I did see this though:

As for waxing, I own three Barbour jackets and have always sent them in to be done. They are washed and reproofed. The last time I did it, it was $40/cost. Money well spent as I can think of far better ways to spend my free time than with a can of hot, molten wax.

Wait...I take that last sentence back!

Nice score on the NH jacket! I've re-waxed myself and sent to Barbour (through Orvis). The turnaround time for sending it in for re-waxing was about a week (off-season). At this time of year, the turnaround should be quick.

Having said that, I also like re-waxing myself. When you put a little care into a jacket, it becomes more "yours."
