If you go to the Barbour web site the jacket on the model ends about where your bottom button is on your jacket. Going by that then the jacket is too long.
Personally for me the jacket is the right length as it covers your butt which can make a HUGE difference in comfort and for sitting down outside in winter. Other than the sleeves I think its a good fit. You don't want it too tight. There's nothing worse than an overcoat that inhibits movement especially in the armpits.
Think about how and when you are going to wear it and if you're still unhappy send it back while you can.
