I own two Barbour Beaufort jackets, one navy and one in the traditional olive green. Both are ostensibly size 44 although the olive one does not seem to have a size label on it. It was purchased by me from Orvis and says "Classic Beaufort" on the tag inside the jacket. The other one just says "Beaufort"
The issue is that the olive seems larger than the navy. The olive is silkoil while the navy is regular waxed cotton. Both are 5-10 years old and purchased new. Does anyone have any thoughts about sizing differences in jackets which are said to be the same size but are in reality different. Both indicate being made in England and in fact I purchased the navy one in London.

I’m going to guess that somewhere down the road, Barbour decided to narrow the cut of the Beaufort but kept the more fuller cut model on and instead labeled it as “classic”.

My Beaufort says just that, with no reference to the classic. Mine is about 12 years old.
