Anyone have any comments, positive or negative, about the Barbour Commando Jacket? I currently have a Barbour Beaufort (green) and Bedale (black) and was thinking of adding the Commando Jacket to the collection. I think it kinda has a more casual look to it. Thanks for your thoughts.

Unless you're into the cult of barbour try the real thing: https://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/browse/browse.aspx?c=2&s=304
They're way less money and just as well constructed. Actually, most are genuine Mil Spec. Good luck

My sense is that the Commando jacket is intended for the casuals / soccer hooligan crowd in the UK. In other words, a Barbour to appeal to teenagers and young men.

I like it, quite different than Barbour's other waxed jackets. I don't have a problem with the "authenticity", save that I would prefer it to be made in England rather than imported. Not living the the U.K., I think you're free of any strong associations with soccer/football hooligans, etc... It is casual, perhaps more so than the jacket I have on my list, the Loro Piana Horsey jacket. I can't remember how much a Commando jacket runs, but I like the Barbour brand.
