I think a person who wears a raincoat like that is not beholden to transitory fashion, is kept dry, and will never regret their choice. I love it.
That was THE coat to have in high school. I was class of '67.Went to a farmer's market this weekend in Brooklyn with my fiancée when she graviated to a booth that sold thifted clothing. She spotted a London Fog balmacaan in stone that is exactly my suit coat size. Late 60's - early 70's (according to the seller) with a zip in liner and made in the USA. Picked it up. I'm loving it! I wouldn't have gotten it if you didn't post this on Ask Andy. I guess I had balmacaans on the brain. I've been dropping some weight and my old Misty Harbor trench coat is getting too big. Thanks.
