I think a person who wears a raincoat like that is not beholden to transitory fashion, is kept dry, and will never regret their choice. I love it.

Went to a farmer's market this weekend in Brooklyn with my fiancée when she graviated to a booth that sold thifted clothing. She spotted a London Fog balmacaan in stone that is exactly my suit coat size. Late 60's - early 70's (according to the seller) with a zip in liner and made in the USA. Picked it up. I'm loving it! I wouldn't have gotten it if you didn't post this on Ask Andy. I guess I had balmacaans on the brain. I've been dropping some weight and my old Misty Harbor trench coat is getting too big. Thanks.

That was THE coat to have in high school. I was class of '67.
