Are glued shoes ever acceptable? Do people here ever consider glued shoes or only Goodyear/ Blake construction.

All quality, serious shoes that I'm familiar with use some form of stitching in addition to gluing. That said, I'm not omniscient. But if I'm shopping an inexpensive casual shoe, it's less of an issue. I've got any number on cheap Dexter shoes that I know were made in their factory in Dexter, Maine before they closed and sold the name that are glued and which I've still been wearing for at least 10 years.
