Are glued shoes ever acceptable? Do people here ever consider glued shoes or only Goodyear/ Blake construction.

Acceptable for what? The vast majority of people are not going to be able to tell how your shoe was made. It is often the case that makers of glued shoes attempt to cut costs in other ways. Often, that means that glued shoes tend to look cheaper, but not necessarily because they are glued.
