[Peak and Pine]

I have purchased two items in April. Excited about both. These, below, purchase number one, were waiting for me as I returned home from purchase number two, of which there will be no pictures.

The one on the left. Allen Edmonds Strands, woven, in olive. For summer wear. Purchase two was a hernia operation on Monday. Finally. Am doing fine, just about. I love this bed.

Nice kicks, for sure and may you long wear them and only in good health. However based on your description of your second purchase, it sounds like you are off to a bit of a bad start. As a veteran of double hernia surgery, be assured you have my best wishes for a speedy and only modestly painful recovery! As my old wrestling coach used to tell us, "pain is our friend." I think I hated that guy...LOL!

Best on the recovery. I still recall several tender days using a sand wedge as a cane, grip to the floor. My son chuckled.

LOL. I needed a carved walnut walking stick to get up from the recliner and complete any necessary walks around the house. The surgeon had instructed that I should be up and walking increasing amounts, as soon as possible, but absolutely no later than the third day out of surgery. The first day the only walking I did was to go to the bathroom. :crazy:

PS: I had formerly used that same walking stick to section hike parts of the Appalachian Trail. A sound purchase, for sure. LOL.

Here's to a quick recovery!

I just bought these flannels off eBay. They are a fawn/light brown. It will be a while before I wear them, but by then they will feel new again. Thankfully no second purchase for me.
