I've been thinking of learning how to make my own clothes, just as a hobby (I got too much spare time...). Now, the problem is how to get proper instructions. Strangely, the bookstores have literally hundreds of books about women's clothes but none about men's. I managed to find one book (Classic Tailoring Techniques: Construction Guide for Men's Wear) from an online bookstore, but it only talks about suits and I'd like to start with something a bit simpler and cheaper, such as ties and shirts.

Any recommendations?
