Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anybody knew of a good alteration tailor in the montreal area.

The ones I tried weren't good enough.

Right now I'm considering these two

I don't really want to go trough the trial and error route again (or just error in my case), does anyone know these alteration tailors? What are your favorite in the montreal area?

I want to have a fit like in the pictures I uploaded. Is it possible to alter a jacket to look like this if it has enough fabric?

Thank you! 🙂

I'm not in Canada so can't help with tailor, however, couple of questions.

Is that you in the photos you uplaoded?
It would help if you show the jacket you wish to have tailored. Without that difficult to help.

Nice jacket.

I'm sorry, but there isn't enough information in your post to offer any sort of reasonable opinion.

I think you've elected an example of a nicely cut and fitted jacket, but we have no idea what the original garment is or looks like when being worn. Added to this is the issue that while the depicted jacket fits this particular man well, the same cut on a different man of significantly different build will have nowhere near a similar effect,

All I can offer is that massive surgery on tailored garments often ends up poorly for a whole variety of reasons. So if you're built very much like the model, and have a jacket of proper size with a similar cut, the answer to your question might be, yes. But if those conditions don't apply, probably not.

As requested here's the suit Paul worked on. Keep in mind that the alterations were done 3 years ago and the jacket is slightly tight due to a heavy HIIT regime. I can also post photos of the jackets that were altered by my guy in Pointe-Claire (alterations were done much More recently). Picture frame Wood Interior design Flooring Floor

As requested, here are two of the jackets my guy in Pointe-Claire worked on. IMHO both are equally good but Paul tends to keep up with more current trends (goes to conventions, etc) while Al is more traditional/classic (not a bad thing) and somewhat cheaper. Both were recommended by coworkers who had them do major surgery on their jackets.
