hi guys
i usually have problem with the instep on AE and Alden shoes ( just so tight).
I wear a 9EE Melrose. Instep area is OK, but too wide around heel, i had to use a tongue pad.
1.how forgiven is Verona's instep if i go for a 9D?
2.Brown or Black?
thanks in advance

Sizing on Veronas

I bought the brown, but mainly because that is the color loafer I needed.

The balls of my feet are wide, but my heels are narrow, and I often have a difficult time finding shoes that fit. My advice would be to find a store carrying Veronas and try them on. I have four pairs of AEs: Spencers and Park Aves in 9.5 C, Meranos in 9.5 D, and Veronas in 9 C. Of these, the Meranos are the most snug in both the instep and around the ball of the foot. I had to be talked into even trying on the Veronas in a 9 C, as I was sure they would be too small. The fit around the heel, are comfortable at the instep, and leave plenty of room in the toe box.
