You go through enough opera pumps to need a spare pair?
If I had a second pair of opera pumps, I'd probably reserve the older ones for wearing with a smoking jacket when I entertain in my own home.

If I had a first pair of opera pumps, I'd probably go to the opera more often. :p

Edited because I considered - I have two pair of what are called "opera slippers," which have leather soles and heels but aren't meant for wearing outside. The ones I have on right now are horribly beaten up inside, but the pristine pair in my closet came from Marshall Field's and I can't bear to wear them out.

I got a pair or AE Ritz at a significant discount (and they are priced even better now) - but have not gotten much mileage out of them. A sleeker pair of patent plain toes I have just looks better.

I did wear them twice - and they serve the purpose. It is a welted shoe - and that is an overkill for frequency of use of formal attire.

BB does not make my size, but I would prefer their offering to AE Ritz.
