Alexander Kabbaz, a custom shirtmaker whose clients included Leonard Bernstein and Tom Wolfe as well as numerous business titans, world leaders, and celebrities, died in Amagansett on July 21 of a heart attack. He was 72.

That is a full life. He was so kind as to give me some very good advice on this forum several years ago. Since that advice my sons and I have gone shopping with the best oil artist we know.

Was a very friendly guy and I remember his telling me about his art school and much fun he was having with his projects.

And he was a very good writer, though he could be abrasive (I know something about this ). He was here before the software allowed a Like button, but I would have given him many. He was also appreciative in words of a few of my own thoughts. This in the days of greater membership when folks would often pounce on each other. I miss those days. I bet Alex did too, he was good at stirring up an often overly dull pot.
