I recently purchased my first pair of dress shoes and wore them for my job interview with a suit. After doing some research, I decided on the Alden straight-tip (cap-toe) Bal in black. I believe the money was very much worth it!

My question is, if I get the job, I won't be wearing a suit very often. I'll most likely be wearing dress slacks (or khakis) and a dress shirt. I believe the Balmorals are supposed to be more "dressy". Will it be appropriate to wear the Balmorals in "business casual" attire? Also on that note, I'll have to get another pair of shoes so I can rotate them. What suggestions do you have? Should I get something in brown so I can build a more varied wardrobe? My girlfriend tends to say brown tones look good on me, so I'm leaning towards the Alden wingtip bluchers in the tan color. I'm just starting my wardrobe, so I'm looking for options that can be used in as many combinations as possible. Any suggestions or comments would be great. Thanks!
