What type of Alden shoe is it? (Even better, do you know what last it is on?) Calf or Cordovan? The Alden shoes fit differently depending on what last they were made.

I own the Alden NST in shell cordovan on the aberdeen last--they are narrow in the toebox compared with my other Alden shoes. I tried on the AE MacNeil in shell and they are definitely wider than the Alden/aberdeen last.
