I've noticed a number of comments on different threads regarding different views of what is acceptable and not acceptable Trad. Having been raised in a somewhat Trad tradition I find all of this interesting and amusing reading.
Some advocate Timex watches others can't stand Casio, same with pleated vs flat-front pants, darted jackets vs sack, you get the idea. Some advocate breaking the "rules" if you know what they are.
Questions: How many of the "rules" can be broken at the same time and still be Trad? Are there really sub-groups within Trad as mentioned on one thread: corporate; student/academic; southern; old ivy, etc? Are there some things a Trad simply won't wear?
Thoughts anyone?
Cheers
