On the mytailor.com website I found this interesting link to explain some terminology associated with cotton shirting. It answered a few questions I had about cotton yarn sizing and it also provides a little description about different weaves. I have seen more detail about the weaves elsewhere but the background on the yarn at the bottom of the page is interesting, who knew a "hank" was 840 yards long?
