What is the origin of the dart? That is, when did darts first appear on sport coats and/or suit jackets?
I supposed that the undarted "sack" coat preceded the darted sport/suit coat and that darts appeared sometime in the 30s or 40s.
But the truth is I don't know for sure.
Are they British in origin?
