Thansk for the answers, I will try APC, Ernest sewn and Gieves and hawkes, they all look very good. Another thing that I naver liked aboout jeans is that they stretch, Levi´s for example stretch a lot. Can we tell some brands strectch less than other or depends of the model. What about the brands we have been talking about?

best regards
For raw denim, I typically size down. However, I would urge you not to wash these jeans for at least 4 months, with the first time being a trip to the dry cleaners (or hand wash).

Generally jeans are meant to stretch until a certain point. They should be really tight at first, you may think way too tight but after they stretch and form to your body they become quite comfortable.

Sizing can be tricky with raw denim, APC are 'vanity' sized which means the tagged size will strecth 1-2 sizes big so if you are a 30 waist you should get a size 28 APC...Other jeans though like Samurai are 'shrink-to-fit' which means they will first shrink 1-2 sizes after soaking and then stretch back out after wear so if you are a size 30 you need a tagged size 31-32.

Ok, thanks I did not know anout the non washing at the beginning for unwashed denim, so for this knid of denim one or two sizes bigger and one less for the rest. I think at the end is probably better to wear chinos or more formal pants

Oh I know what they are, I was in the Marine Corps which is part of the Navy and I've seen tons of people wearing these but usually it is againts their will...I commend you for the courage to rock this style though on your own accord. :aportnoy:
Orkhis, I assure you I wear them by my free will. They are just cool. Sort of beyound all the fashion fights. However I dislike the current issue navy "jeans" pants with straight legs. I would need to be ordered to wear those.

Dry Selvage

Dry selvage denim all the way. The dark color of the jeans looks great and when you finally do wash them (give them at least 6 months but preferably a year or more) the distressing that shows is all your own. I would stay away from sevens, citizens, diesel etc. because you are paying for the name only. The quality is nothing compared to APC,Nudie, Jean Shop and other purveyors of dry selvage denim. I fell into the trap of buying "Premium" brands such as sevens and citizens and now I have about a thousand dollars worth of jeans that I never wear since I bought my APCs and Nudies. Don't make the same mistake.

Thanks so much for that advice, I am in a similar situation with my jeans, I have to prove this kind of denim. If I have to wear them for a few months I wont have to get one size bigger, do they shrink a lot when I finally wash them?

Do you have experience with the japansese brands? like skull, sugar cane, samurai etc. they are mostly raw selvaged denim. Are they better for some reason? they are all above 200 dollars

best regards and thanks for your help

Japanese denim is the best! Japanese are freaks about denim...In the 1970s Levis sold all thier old loom machines in favor of bigger ones that could keep up with the demand so the Japanese bought them all up and now only selvedge denim is made in Japan.
