Just spent a wonderful day wandering the streets of London shopping for shoes. I managed to visit all my targets (C&J, Tricker's, Church's, Cleverly, Edward Green, Lobb, JM Weston). In the end I chose two pairs:
--Crockett & Jones handgrade (Whitehall in black, L300 from the Jermyn Street shop)
--Edward Green, (E202 in black, L450, Burlington Arcade).
First time I've stretched my wallet to an Edward Green shoe. They are certainly beautiful, but then so are the C&Js. Will be interesting to look back in a couple of years and decide if they are worth the premium.
