I miss Chipp.
As you no doubt know, Paul Winston is still doing some nice things as Chipp. But I agree, I miss the store as well and the large variety of merchandise they could comparatively offer.

Not just tasteful, but intriguing, and all of the merchandise was of very fine quality. Make and cloth you couldn't take for granted even then, and long since gone.

I'm still purchasing, and loving, Paul Winston's ties,.....

As usual the thread is a nice addition Flanderian.

Regards,
Thank you.

Yes, Mr. Winston is still selling very nice ties.

Looking at the two pairs of tartan trousers in the upper right corner above, I was reminded that I had a pair from them as well. I believe the two depicted are a Black Watch and possibly a Buchanan. Mine was the Lindsay tartan. And John Lindsay was mayor when I purchased it ;) though it was its colors that appealed. Very, very nice flannel. The quality was better than that to which I was then accustomed.

There's GTH . . . . . and then there's GTH and don't come back! :D

Chipp's GTH wasn't simply ebullient, it was very well made of materials you might not find in quality clothing elsewhere.

Proof positive that there is at least one member of the Chip Design Team who is a closet Univ of Michigan fan. Why else would one wear those blue and maize hued corduroys? :icon_scratch:

The history of the raison d'etre of Chipp lies in its exceptionally bold sportswear and accessories as wished for by various under graduates and graduates of institutions of higher learning.
