Got back from NYC about a week ago. It seems that I did all my shopping on the corner of 44th and Madison (fortunately I was staying nearby at the Iroquois - I bolted down the street every time my wife turned on the hair dryer). In descending order, here is where I spent the most money:

Since I have gotten back, I've marveled at the fact that these shops are all just spitting distance of each other. It finally struck me: Grand Central Station. Of course, the rent is a lot cheaper than 5th, but that is too obvious. These shops want to be right where all the men (especially Harris) get off the train.
Make sense???
