I'm with him. Of course, I can't afford his stuff but I like the philosophy. Fashion you get sold. Style comes from within.

My wife says I'm pretty cranky and I think he is pretty cranky so it must be bad.
I can't say I disagree with him on the substance of what he says, I'm just not angry about it. Still I feel tempted to stop by his shop the next time I'm in japan.

He's awful cranky. Perhaps switch to Sanka.

You only notice it because he's young. When you get old, everybody's cranky!

If I was ever in Japan, I would definitely plan a visit to Brycelands.

FWIW, Ethan was voted best dressed on Permanent Style last year:

Also the shop he cofounded back in the day (the Armoury) has some really excellent items for sale as well. Most of their house suits and sportcoats are made for them by Ring Jacket and they are excellent quality for the money.

An interesting perspective, offering much of which one might disagree, but as Oldsarge states, it is a philosophy wich I can embrace. However, having worn a beret professionally for a number of years, I must tell you someone ought to teach the author how to wear a beret...he wear's his like a "Dork!" ;) LOL.
