From what I've seen in 2010 they had OTR jackets with standard sack features. Today they offer soft 3/2 rolls via RRL and a "Polo soft coat" with only a soft shoulder.
At some point this year I'd like to pay them a visit but my research has come up empty on what jacket models they offer in...
Hi fellow tradsters,
A few days ago I posted on the forum asking where european tradsters got their threads: https://askandyaboutclothes.com/community/threads/where-do-you-buy-your-trad-threads-if-you-live-in-europe.242375/
A fellow community member suggested that I instead travel to the...
I was inspired by the Trad forum and decided to go for a Barbour Beaufort jacket. Since about 8 months ago I decided to revamp my style and wardrobe, and a Beaufort seemed to fit the theme I am going for (American Ivy with some British Influence - particularly leather shooes and...
I'm slowly improving my work wardrobe. The dress code is business casual - we rarely see a suit except from the c-suits.
Given an outfit consisting of the following:
light blue dress shirt with button down collar
medium gray wool dress pants
burgundy penny loafers (AE Patriot)
I just met with a tailor and but it my order for a prototypical Trad Navy Blazer. 3-2 Roll, no darts, stitched seams, patch pockets. The only thing he is not certain of (though he is going to try) is the Hook Vent. I won't be heartbroken if that is the lone detail I am missing. I'm excited!
With the most recent J. Press sale kicking off yesterday, I was disappointed to see their knit ties were still full price. Any posters here have any insight if J. Press ever puts them on sale and if so, when to expect it.
I haven't been able to find any on eBay FWIW. Thanks in advance
Are A.E. Delray's with a suit considered Trad?
I purchased a pair of black A.E. Delray's recently. I love their look but am wondering whether they would be considered trad if worn with a suit given that they are bluchers.
I understand that this must have been asked before, but I'm new around here. Apologies for a redundancy.
I'm looking for a 3/2 roll, 3-patch pocket blazer with a center vent, no darts, and somewhat slim lapels. Does anyone have a recommendation of where I could possibly find one? I'm just...
I've greatly enjoyed following the AAAC forums as an observer, and hope that some of you might enjoy getting stuck into the dilemma I've been grappling with recently.
So far, I have worked in the private sector as a lawyer and have worn suits daily (occasionally dressing down on Fridays or at...
Greetings to my new fashion friends!
As my title says, it's a new year, I just survived a near fatal car crash, and I'm looking for a new look.
The car crash reminded me in an oh so 'air bag in your face' moment about what's REALLY important to me. I'm talking outside my wonderful family. That...
arrived in the mail today.
On a day-to-day basis, I can't really say that a two button undarted conservative GTH tweed is what I feel like I need. But then I leaf through their offerings, and such a jacket unfailingly seems like exactly what I need.
Hey guys. Sorry for my recent hiatus, semester exams have filled my nights with studying chemistry and history instead of surfing for blazers and ties.
I'm opening up this thread (a sort of continuation of...
A bit of background. I just turned 17 and I'm a junior in high school. That being said, obviously there is no dress code for our school as in uniforms or even a dress code on casual clothes. Because of that T shirts and cargo's have taken the place of any enforced uniform. I personally think...
My quick take on the new Take Ivy printing, thought some of you guys might get a kick out of it. ;-)
Book Review: Take Ivy, The Trad Bible & What's A Bumbershoot?
"Take Ivy is a coffee table book that was just released a couple of weeks ago. I pre-ordered it early in the summer and have been...
A gentleman's appearance is judged by the way he dresses. But there is more to it than that.
As a Trad, do you find that you are different than non-Trads or the way you were before becoming Trad when it comes to your body language, posture, and gestures? How so?
As always, thank you kindly for...
The furniture business needs the equivalent of Ask Andy About Clothes. Nothing remotely close is available on the internet.
At the very least, we can start a thread here to discuss what would be considered Trad Furniture: Hancock & Moore, Henkel Harris, IKEA .. err.
