My last two garments from MyTailor.com were two beautiful sport jackets, but way back in August of 2002!
I really liked the fit, the quality and the fabrics! I’d chosen (for both) Loro Piana 130’s with peak lapels, hacking pockets including a ticket pocket. One is medium brown with a rust windowpane and the other is blue (not quite navy) with the same rust windowpane pattern.
I was also impressed with how well packed they were. Out of the package they were ready to wear!
MyTailor.com jackets are $450 to 1200 depending, of course, on fabric but they have all the quailty feature like 100% hand basted, full floating canvas, and functional button holes on sleeves.
I had seen a great blue window pane on grey sports jacket and just knew that Joe Hemrajani and family could find that same pattern. They found one that was even more beautiful!!
This is a Harrisons of Edinburgh Moonbeam fabric selection. It’s superfine lambswool and Angora! You should feel how soft this jacket is.
I ordered the usual, peak lapels, hacking pockets including the ticket pocket and working sleeve buttons.
The important thing is this was done without an updated fitting! Not since 2002. That’s incredible!
Since this is a premium fabric the price for the sport jacket was a little higher than the usual prices at MyTailor.com It’s $1069 but if you mention “AskAndy” you can get fabric from the same book (Harrisons of Edinburgh Moonbeam) for only $999.

I met with Joe Hemrajani after our trip at his Irvine office and we picked out a Loro Piana S-120 Navy wool suit fabric with pinstripes of light blue and burgundy.
The measuring process was intense. Joe took lots of measurements and recorded them by computer program along with my style feature requests: peaked lapels, double vents, two button, hacking flap pockets and a ticket pocket. My prior experience (and this is not criticism but just a difference in the way tailors work) was a few measurements written on a form.
Joe also took photos of me to help the Hong Kong tailors with body type.
Joe also suggested a shirt and we picked a blue two-ply superfine 100’s from his executive collection end-on-end with a true split yoke (I think he did this just for me after our discussion of the value of a split yoke).
The suit arrived last week and it is beautiful! The fabric is even more outstanding than the swatch (think of the shirt/tie combinations with a navy fabric with light blue and burgundy pin stripes) and the fit is perfect. The hand work and details are outstanding.
Never having that feeling of a perfectly fitting suit I must say it is really a joy. Now I know what you guys are talking about.
And the shirt (with French cuffs) is very impressive. It fits perfectly too!!! I’m really pleased with the features and the fabric. Thank you Joe
And it’s the suit that I wore for my Wealth TV program. You can watch the TV show on the Home Page!
