Job interview with Bill Clinton's tailor

Hello everyone, may I please introduce myself as Bobert. I am here because I have a job interview. Easy you may think, don a suit, some nice shows, respectable tie and away you go. Sadly, this is not the case. This interview is for www.louiscopeland.com. Well, not the website, the retail outlet. The position is for a sales associate which is a job I would like very much. So here I am, on my knees, at my wits end trying to decide what to wear.

Here's what I had in my mind.

A black Robbie single breasted suit with subtle gold pinstripes, a white Diesel shirt with gold and blue pin stripes, and a solid gold Donitz tie. And finally, some black Rieker Loafer shoes. Also, accessorie wise, a black leather pro-drive belt and a steel and gold Breitling watch and

Your attire plans seem... odd to me. However, this my be the norm in Ireland - I don't know.

I thought Clinton was a Brioni customer?

If this outfit is Slick Willie's tailor, why are they interviewing for another sales associate? Ohhhhhhhhh! Maybe they sell to other clients. Address your presentation to your skill at cultivating those new customers into buying the company image. Aithni'onn ci'aro'g ci'aro'g eile.

Although we seem to be able to wear slightly less conservative clothes to interviews in Europe than they can in the USA I would make sure that the interviewer can see you not your clothes. In other words not too OTT.

Not knowing your clothes exactly the only things I would ditch are the belt and the expensive watch, wear a slightly less flash one to the interview.

This was what I had heard as well. Donna Karen doing the designs, (as Shirtguy says below) with Martin Greenfield making and tailoring the suits.

How so? Also, Louis Copeland has desinged and made some suits for Bill. And the PM or Ireland. SO I have to dress to impress here.

Do not wear a pinstripe shirt with a pinstripe suit unless the scale of the stripes are very very different - like 2x or 3x. Otherwise you will just look silly.

Clinton has worn lots of brands. He bought a bunch of J Press Pressidential suits when he was starting out.

Not sure about Clinton, but Bush's family gets their clothes made in Bangkok by Rajawongse Tailors.

I don't know about that either way. I do know that they are customers of Oxxford and J Press. Why do we always think famous people would only have one store from which they buy their clothes?

Umm, didnt mean to say they "only" get their clothes made in Bangkok.

I have a really cool Linen shirt that has been worn & drycleaned to death.
I think I will let this Rajawongse outfit see if they can duplicate it.

The design won some kind of Cutty Sark Award. It was made by Shamask

Skip the loafers and wear something with laces. A nice captoe, even wingtips if that's what you have, jus tsomething laced.

That’s funny because I could have sworn I read something about Clinton getting suits made by Domenico Vacca in New York. Apparently Vacca was approached by Clinton after he rented his office in Harlem.

From reading that description of the outfit, are you just trying to bate us ? All that is missing from that outfit is a golden tooth and a big clock around your neck.
