I have been collecting neckties from the 1930s-1950s for years. I have approximately 200 of them. I was simply hanging them on those battery operated tie racks but in our recent renovation I lost that space.

I now would like a way to store them that will treat them in the manner to which they deserve. I'd like to store them rolled in a drawer but am open to other solutions. I'd like to store them in as small a space as possible. I can no longer hang them as I had been doing. I do still wear them.

If you also have any recommendations for displaying them (other than around my neck) I'd like to hear them as well.

Thx.

I think rolling would be an excellent way. If you fold them in any way they will get creased. If you can roll them in flat shalllow drawer they would also be very accessible. Believe it or not they sell this product in the in-flight magazine. it is a tube that you roll your tie up in. I have always thought it quite silly. But it would be best used by someone storing ties. Also, I would not roll them ad store them on their sides as the sides might get creased.

I have posted regarding my Lego tie wall previously. While I do not collect vintage ties in particular, I believe my display and storage method represents much of what you are looking for.
Splendid!

Wont work with folded (7 or 4 fold ties) but I LOVE that.
