Hi,
I always need to move outside my home to run errands. I live in a small town and I meet people on the street. I don't know what to wear. I want something comfortable, practical, efficient, timeless, and good-looking at the same time. I want something comfortable enough to wear at home and good-looking enough to wear on the street. Also, it will be a bonus to be timeless enough to not ask this question again.
A jogger and a solid hoodie are okay for me.
what to wear on my feet? Is it okay to wear slippers? I need something that I can easily wear and take off and it will look good on the jogger. shoes with lace will not be practical. can I wear shoes without lace with a jogger? which type of shoes should I go with? boat shoes? is it timeless or trendy?

Edit: please consider I am 27

That bell you just heard means that recess time is over - back to your third grade class!

Any slip on.

ALLBIRDS. Inexpensive, efficient. First noticed them, last week in a clothing forum like this one. Had to check 'em out. They are made up of Merino wool (body) Castor beans (orthodontic insole) Polyethylene (shoelaces/sole), so they are very eco conscious - for those so inclined. Come in a variety of colors. I am wearing a pair now, they are comfy. Good for around the house and much more. Seem to be built as a running shoe. I did say inexpensive (prob their best quality).

No, it’s not okay to wear slippers while running errands. I mean, it’s legal but tacky. So don’t do it. Outside, wear boat shoes or any of the other types of footwear that have been suggested in this thread thus far.

By the way, you shouldn’t wear the same shoes in your house that you wear outside your house. Keep your house clean by keeping two sets of shoes. Inside your house, wear slippers or just socks. Seconds before you walk out the door to run errands or to do anything else, change into your “out of the house” shoes, whatever they may be. As soon as you get home, remove those shoes and put your slippers back on (or don’t wear any shoes). Go Asian—don’t track dirt into your home.

Unless we are talking velvet slippers to the opera, I would say no. I can't imagine that changing shoes can be that much of a bother. If I am also reading right, you are also limiting yourself to the clothes you have to pair the footwear with as well, which is super casual/sport, so perhaps maybe think about upgrading that as well. Just a thought
