Jockey has quit making the 90% cotton, 10% spandex briefs I've been wearing. I ordered some 100% cotton to try, but by the end of the day, the leg bands stretch out so the support level fails. I'm looking for recommendations for a new brand. I wear regular briefs, not boxer briefs.

+1 for Uniqlo as well.
The real question is how will your Hanes hold up after several washings. Will they still feel as comfortable? Will the material hold up? I am hopeful the extra expense will translate to increased durability while maintaining softness/comfort.

I have found that I prefer Jockey's classic white 100% cotton series for men's undergarments, a-shirts, crew and v-neck undershirts (also offered in black and gray).
I have switched from the boxer brief to their full-rise brief with Jockey's patented y-front fly. The fabric is soft yet durable and the fit is comfortable and supportive.
Two other advantages I have seen is that sizing is offered in your waist size instead of a range and it is readily available in physical stores as well as online (if that's what you prefer).
I have purchased from men's clothing stores such as Macy's and Kohls but I prefer supporting the local family owned department store or a jockey outlet. The cost is $18.95 for a pack of four.
Today, companies like Jockey are multi national corporations but Jockey began as an American company, founded in 1876 in Kenosha, Wisconnsin as Coopers Inc. Jockey's y-front undergarment was patented (US2019140) in 1935 by Arthur R. Kneibler of Coopers Inc. And that's why I choose Jockey

This is an extremely good point. I know for a fact that large companies (like Hanes) spend less than $1.00 to produce some of their <$3 undershirts and underwear. It's unlikely that translates to a garment that will last, or be as comfortable after numerous launderings.
Don't get me wrong, I think the value-priced brands offer a great value for people that cannot or prefer not to spend more money on their underclothing.
However, a premium (priced) pair of underwear should translate to an overall better quality garment, hopefully more comfortable for longer, and have a longer life-span.
Saxx definitely has some good underwear. I had a couple pair of one style of their boxer briefs, and they were quite comfortable. Though, I personally don't like exposed waistbands because they never seem to fit me the way I want in the waist. Either too loose or too tight.
So, I prefer boxer briefs with a low-profile hidden waistbands.

After a lot of searching I have found the perfect pair of boxer briefs: Anchor Underwear Boxer Brief
They have a unique three way fly that I haven't seen before and they are the softest underwear I have worn. I will be replacing all of my underwear with these!

@ Tiger I have tried quite a few brands..... Here goes
Tommy Johns (Second Skin) - These were pretty high on my list. Biggest flaw was that they only have the horizontal fly. They feel soft but there are softer ones out there that feel like you're not wearing anything.
SAXX - I didn't like these much at all. The ball pouch thing was just irritating. It was like an extra long lining to scratch your sack. I didn't really get it or like it. Plus no fly, that was a no go. I think they have new
UFM Underwear - I did not like these at all.. They are advertised as post-vasectomy underwear but basically you tie your balls up in a satchel or something. Very weird and they weren't very comfortable. Supposedly very good for post vasectomy surgery. They seem just as supportive as Anchor Underwear or Tommy John but they have a string that also annoys you by sinching up your balls with a string??? I didn't care for them. I totally didn't get the adjustable pouch.
MeUndies - They seemed alright. Nothing special to me though. Decent design but the silver tag in the back is slightly irritating and a bit itching. My biggest issue with them was that they seemed to pill easily. Very soon after I got them I noticed the mini bumps all over from the underwear pilling. This could have easily been caused washing in water that was too hot but I always wash everything in cold water or warm at the hottest so i seriously doubt that was the issue. Would like to know if others that have MeUndies have the same pilling effect because they are comfortable and feel good/confident in them despite the pilling and itchiness.
Haynes/Jockey - I tried these and other cotton boxer briefs. They don't compare to any of the above underwear unless your bottom line is the bottom line. If you want very cheap underwear that is comfortable, my recommendation is to try bamboo. David Archie makes a decent pair but they are nowhere as comfortable as the ones above.
I have tried many others but I can't remember the others well enough to write a review.... Sorry.
I will say, from now on it is Anchor Underwear for me. So soft and comfortable plus so easy to use. The threeway fly thing makes it so easy to whip it out in a hurry with just one hand so you can do your business and then go on your way. I sometimes get tremors and can't always control my right hand. The fly makes it easy to get things in and out with only my left hand without any trouble.
As for the price, yeah, there are many cheaper options. Many of the ones listed above are cheaper than the Anchor Underwear but as stated above I fell like they are better than all of the ones I have tried. There are many more expensive brands such as Versace, Derek Rose, Frigo, or even Nice Laundry's 24kt gold underwear at $1,000 a pair. Send them to me and I'll be happy to try them out as well as the ones I reviewed above. I doubt the extra expense makes a proportional difference between two brands, like everything else you can purchase, just because it costs more doesn't make it any better.... but the fact that it costs more often makes it better than the alternative.

A timely reoccurance of an older thread. Yesterday, I broke out my ExOficio briefs that I have about five pair of, given that we are not traveling much these days and I was wearing out the Hanes pairs that I've had for a year. The Ex Oficio lightweight travel briefs are great and I had forgotten how comortable they are. + 1 for ExOficio.

I've been wearing SilkCut Underwear. I buy in bundles to save money. I feel it's the best men's underwear ever. I am speechless. They feel like nothing.
