I've recently ordered a few pairs of socks from Sock Shop:

https://www.sockshop.co.uk/

Can't tell you yet the impressions as they haven't arrived yet, but I can say they have a huge selection of colours and materials...
I've got six pair of Burlington argyles on order currently from this company. I bought some of these same (I think) argyles at a shop in Victoria Station in London several years ago and found them to be excellent fitting and durable.

The only experience I have with BB socks is their argyles which shrunk badly and would not stay up once on my feet.
Since they ended up being practically 1/2 price after purchasing at least three pairs, I bought three pairs of colorful mid-calf ribbed cotton socks and one pair of OTC merino wool. I can tell the difference between these OTC wool socks and the Marcolianis I purchased from Kabbaz. The BB pair is not as soft (even thought they are 80% wool vs 70% with the Marcoliani's I chose). I assume they just use less material. Once stretched over my foot and leg they appear thinner, showing some of my pasty leg through the weave. The Marcoliani's appear the same beautiful solid colour both on and off the foot.

But in terms of shrinkage, surely your not putting any of your socks in the dryer, are you? None of my clothes go in the dryer.

Great thread. The boardroom socks have competitive prices on the 67% merino wool, about $12.70 a pair shipped for 3 pair. Viccel has 100% wool for like $22.00. Customshirts has the 80% wool for $27.00. Have not checked the STP sight. How does JAB compare

I have goldtoe Cotton socks, some ribbed, some not, and some Perry Ellis. Some tend to lose the elasticity at the top, and many of them fade. I have no wool ones, but the cotton blends. I read that wool tends to be cooler in summer, and holds color longer. Im thinking of switching so this is an informative thread
