finally found one of these in an antique/junk store in Lancaster, PA.
Now I can replace heel and toe taps on my shoes myself

^ Is that what that is? Gosh. I've found a couple of them in junk shops. I've been using them as door stops.

^ The woman at the store did mention that most people use them as door stops or paint them for use as lawn ornaments.

These are old world anvils. The piece on the top comes in different sizes and the stand can be bolted down on a workbench.
