My trousers keep getting hung on the cloth “Cheaney” tab on my chukkas. Ive tucked the tabs in but they pop out. They are sewn in, so I’m not removing them. Any tips or do I have to shake them loose every time?[IMG]

Perhaps you might opt for more generously sized trouser legs? Seriously, a significantly tapered leg opening is going to get hung up on almost everything. ;)

It also happens on my larger openings as well. ☹️

If they're that bothersome I'd just take a pair of scissors and snip them off.

    This.
If you don't need them to pull on your boots, snip them off. If you are worried about screwing it up, take them to a cobbler and they will do it at minimal cost.

Just embrace it. Think of it as showing off your boots.

That, and trying to keep my tie clip straight are the two biggest irritants I have when it comes to dressing. I had to stop wearing tie clips (I know many here dislike them anyway) and had to cut the tabs off my chukkas that had them as well.

Since the shoes are pricey, can you cut the thread holding the tab on? That way, if you change your mind layer, sew them back on...

It’s sewn into the leather (looks like between two pieces of leather) and the thread appears to go around the boot. I think that would damage the boot’s integrity. I think the only way is to snip the tab off as close to the boot as possible.

Stop wearing those shoes with lightweight, drape-y trousers. Save them for jeans and heavyweight khakis. Wear low-cut shoes with your dressier trousers.
