David Chu shoes?
There's a short feature in the September/October issue of Men's Vogue (pp. 111, 114) about David Chu's new clothing company; and toward the end, it says this about the shoes that he's selling:
Anybody actually seen the shoes? I wonder what degree of customization is done and where in Northampton the shoes are made.Classic English bench-made shoes can be customized to the client's foot, whether he needs a Chelsea boot, loafer, or evening slipper. Chu is particularly proud of the shoes, turning over a cordovan wing tip.

It's been 2 or more years, but I saw a pair of RTW David Chu shoes in an Off Fifth, Saks Fifth Avenue store. They were made by Edward Green at that time. (edit: well, now that I think about it, I cannot remember whether the shoes were by David Chu or Jimmy Choo. Definitely made by Edward Green. Sorry!)

David Chu shoes
John,
I have not read the article, but I have the following comment on this. If these shoes are made on individual lasts, which is hard to realize, it will sertainly be reflected in the total cost, each pair. What do they cost? What I think is a more plausible solution is a range of lasts in different widths. It is possible to call that custom. It will never be anything more than that I suppose, but it all depends on how large the range of lasts is. May be they are made at Alfred Sargent? What do you think?Bespoke Shoe and Bootmaker
