What would be a good daily shampoo?

My tastes in this area may be deemed a bit esoteric.
First, really recommend John Allan's "Sport", a shampoo/conditioner combo. Rick and very nice for everyday.
Right now, since I switch over every quarter, I am using Mr. Taylor's Sandalwood Shampoo, from Taylor's of Old Bond Street, which is truly great.
Neutragena (sorry about spelling, not sure about it, but it is late) is very good too for a more generally available product.

For what type of hair? Oily, dry, straight, curly, chemically treated?

I'm hooked on Aveda products, they have something for every type of hair, their Shampure is a good all around shampoo.

A bit girly for some maybe, but I use Pantene Pro-V combined shampoo/conditioner daily and it cleans well and leaves hair nice and soft. I occasionally supplement it with some extra Pantene conditioner.

My vote goes to Aveda. I use Aveda "Brilliant" which is a deep cleansing shampoo that can be used daily. This one was recommended to me by several Stylists when you want your hair to feel clean with no residue. I occasionally will use Aveda "Abundance" conditioner.

Once a week, I use Neutrogena "clarifying" Shampoo. Basically, it gets rid of *anything* that's built up in my hair. It's pretty amazing stuff, my hair actually feels a lot lighter after I use it. However it's quite "drying" in a sense so I don't think it should be used more than once a week.
Daily I use Suave Professionals "sleek" shampoo. It's cheap at CVS/Walgreens, works extremely well--hair feels healthy, sort of shiny, but the shampoo itself clearly cleans well.
I have found that ("girly" stuff aside) the reviews over on www.makeupalley.com can be pretty helpful in sifting through shampoo choices. Both of the above come highly recommended over there and worked exactly as advertised.
I don't like Pantene products; used them for a long time only to realize that I think they slowly were making my hair fall out.

Les Doux Nature Oatmilk Conditioning Shampoo available from Barclay Crocker is really a very high quality product especially if you have fine or dry hair.

That is what a clarifier shampoo is supposed to do and that is about how often one should use it.quote:Once a week, I use Neutrogena "clarifying" Shampoo. I've been told that Pantene shampoo leaves a film on the hair.
I use Paul Mitchell Awapuhi and I like the scent and texture.

I've spent a lot of money trying different shampoos over the years. I always come back to Aussie products. They clean my hair, don't dry it out, and leave it looking shiny. I've used Aussie products since about 1982, with no ill effects.

Pantene Pro-V combined shampoo/conditioner has proved to be the best for me, also.
My course, wavey hair comes out softer than with any other shampoo I've tired.
