Dear Folks:

We’ve all read about David Chu sport coats.

I’m not sure who in Italy makes them, but the styling is impeccable. The 3B front has a gentle roll, the shoulder is soft, and the patch pockets are perfectly set.

The tweed sets light blue and raspberry on a heathery green ground.

Even the lining is neatly coordinated: Olive for the upper back (partial lining), and light blue for the sleeves.

This is a new and unworn item. It includes buttons for finishing the sleeves. The way the cuffs are left open will make the inclusion of working buttonholes that much easier, if you desire them.

Measurements are standard for the size, as you can read below. If you want it slimmer, have it taken in.

Retail on these babies is about $1300. My price: $350 shipped insured in CONUS. Canada add 10, ROW add 20.

Measurements: top to bottom in back including collar 32, from collar seam 30.75; shoulder 19.5; arm 25.5 with at least 1.5 to let out; chest 44, coat waist 42. Three button front. Four buttons available for finishing each sleeve. Double rear vent. All wool. Partly lined. Size on label 40R us 6 drop. Made in Italy. Excellent condition, new without tag.

I don't know how extensive this topic has been covered, but I wanted to throw out to the trad forum any info on cashmere socks. What are the best ones to buy, whether they are otc or mid-calf. Thick or thin, and what composition is best. 100% cashmere, or a blend. I see a few different ones but to make sure they are luxurious I don't think anything less than 80% cashmere would work. Also, where to buy the best for your buck?

His writing, demeanour and delivery have a seam of understatement running through it. No surprise then that I read long ago that his clothes are Savile row.

Cannot be described as dapper but nevertheless very well dressed. Shirts with bold stripes, probably H&H. DB blazer is still worn well and has the slightly rumpled look befitting a man of the world.
Catch his programmes if you can.
